Learning Styles

What is your learning style?

Learning styles are various approaches or ways of learning.  Learning styles involve educating methods, particular to you, really it is how you learn best.  Most people prefer a certain method of interacting with, taking in and processing information.  The idea of "learning styles" originated iin the 1970's and have become very popular since then.

Various Types Of Learning Styles

There are 3 basic types of learning styles, most people learn best through a combination of the three types of learning styles.  Here they are:

Visual

Visual learners learn best by looking at graphics, watching a demonstration or reading.  For them it is easy to look at charts and graphs but they may have difficult focusing while listening to an explanation.

Auditory

Auditory learners would rather listen to things being explained than read about them.  Reciting info out load and having music in the background may be a common study method.  Other noises may become a distraction resulting in a need for a relatively quiet place.

Kinesthetic

These learners process information best through a 'hands on' experience.  Actually doing an activity can be the easiest way for them to learn.  Sitting still while studying may be difficult, but writing things down makes it easier to understand.

To learn we depend on our senses to process the information around us.  Most people tend to use one of their senses more than the others.  So what is your primary style?  Sometimes people depend on two or more types of learning styles.
